BIMCamel plugins — desktop add-ins for Revit and Navisworks
Everything else on BIMCamel is a browser tab. These 3 Windows plug-ins cover the part that can't be: the work that has to happen inside Autodesk Revit or Navisworks. All are free downloads with no licence key and no trial timer — CamelGraph's free copy is for personal use, and its professional copy is coming soon on the Autodesk App Store. They install per user without admin rights, and everything they produce (IFC, BCF 2.1, Excel, CSV) drops straight into the free browser tools.
Which one do you need?
- An IFC from a consultant, and you want revit elements you can edit, host and schedule — IFC to Revit.
- The same Navisworks job every week, and you want it done by a graph instead of by hand — CamelGraph.
- An NWD, NWF or NWC federation, and you want an IFC anyone can open — Navisworks → IFC Exporter.
IFC to Revit — native elements, not a linked mesh
Revit 2023–2026. Linking an IFC gives you something you can look at. This rebuilds it: walls, floors, ceilings, beams, columns, pipes and ducts that arrive as native Revit geometry, join and cut each other, host what belongs on them, and show up in schedules. Scan the file in the browser before you install anything and it tells you, element by element, what will come through parametrically and what won't.
- Every element lands on one of five fidelity rungs, written onto it as a parameter — so you can schedule how it was converted
- Anything it can't rebuild parametrically still arrives: right category, all property sets, source GlobalId intact
- One installer covers Revit 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026; per-user install, no admin rights
CamelGraph (previously Dyncamelo) — visual programming for Navisworks
Navisworks Manage / Simulate 2024–2026. The node canvas Dynamo made famous in Revit, docked inside Navisworks. Wire nodes to search a federated model, colour it by property, build selection sets, triage clashes and round-trip BCF 2.1 and Excel — no code, no macros, no API project. Each workflow saves as a small .dyc file that runs against whatever model is open, so next month's revision is a button rather than an afternoon.
- 589 nodes: search, properties and QTO, selection sets, appearance, viewpoints, clash, BCF 2.1, TimeLiner, tables, CSV / Excel
- Free for personal use — no account, no licence key, no trial timer. For work or a paid project, the professional copy is coming soon on the Autodesk App Store
- Source public on GitHub under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0; graphs are portable .dyc files
Navisworks Files to IFC Exporter
Navisworks Manage / Simulate 2024–2027. A federated Navisworks model is a dead end for every tool that isn't Navisworks. This exports it — NWD, NWF and NWC — to IFC 2x3 or IFC 4 with geometry, property sets, classifications and the federation hierarchy preserved. Map categories to IfcClasses in a reusable editor, split a huge federation by file size, or write one IFC per search set in a single run.
- IFC 2x3 and IFC 4 out, with a reusable category / property mapping editor
- MIT-licensed and fully open source on GitHub — no paid tier, no licence server, nothing phoning home
- Registers itself for every installed Navisworks version in range, automatically

Everything they make opens in the browser tools
The IFC, BCF 2.1 and spreadsheets these plug-ins write are the input to 40+ free browser tools: open the IFC in the viewer, validate it against IDS or the schema, compare two revisions, split or merge it, or convert it onward to glTF, OBJ or COBie. No install on that end either.
FAQ
Are the plug-ins really free?
Yes, all three are free to download, with no licence key and no trial timer. The Navisworks → IFC exporter is MIT-licensed open source. The Revit add-in is a free download and currently in beta. CamelGraph's download is the free personal-use copy (PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0: learning, hobby projects, research, charities, schools, universities, public research bodies and government institutions); for work at a company or a paid project there is a separate professional copy with a commercial licence from BIMCamel, coming soon on the Autodesk App Store.
Do I need admin rights to install them?
No. Each installer writes into your own user profile and registers an entry in Windows Settings → Apps, so you can install on a locked-down workstation without raising a ticket. Close the host application first, or restart it afterwards.
Which versions of Revit and Navisworks are supported?
The Revit add-in supports Revit 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 — one installer, with Revit loading the build matching whichever version you open. CamelGraph supports Navisworks Manage and Simulate 2024, 2025 and 2026. The IFC exporter supports Navisworks Manage and Simulate 2024–2027. Navisworks Freedom does not load third-party add-ins at all.
Do the plug-ins send anything back to BIMCamel?
The Navisworks exporter has no telemetry of any kind — it is open source, so you can confirm that yourself. Downloads are served from this site or from GitHub releases; nothing requires an account to run.
Do I need a BIMCamel account to use them?
Not for the Navisworks plug-ins — they install and run entirely on your machine. The Revit add-in works with the browser-side scan, so it uses your account's conversion allowance; the browser tools that consume what these plug-ins produce are free to try without one.
What do I do with the files they produce?
Open them in the browser tools, free: view and inspect the IFC, validate it against IDS or the schema, compare two revisions, split or merge it, or convert it onward to glTF, OBJ or COBie. BCF 2.1 from CamelGraph opens in the BCF issue tool.
